Dehradun, June 10 -- Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) on Tuesday said it helped recover Rs.2.24 crore in May through prompt intervention by the national cyber financial helpline 1930 and a dedicated follow-up team for recovery efforts. Officials said the initiative is part of the state government's drive to keep Uttarakhand crime-free under the directions of director general of police Deepam Seth. Senior superintendent of police (STF) Ajai Singh has directed officials to ensure swift assistance to cybercrime victims and take effective action against cyber offenders. Singh said the 1930 cyber financial helpline facilitated timely intervention in cyber fraud complaints received during May, helping authorities secure or freeze Rs.2.24 crore siphoned off by fraudsters....
