LUCKNOW, Sept. 27 -- Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) organised a training programme for resident doctors on safe prescription writing, medication reconciliation and fire safety awareness on Saturday. Organised by the institute's Quality Cell and Internal Quality Assurance Cell, the programme focused on strengthening patient-safety practices and preparedness for National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) standards, stated a press release shared with the media. Prof Pooja Shukla from pharmacology conducted a session on safe and rational prescription writing. Faculty members and resident doctors discussed medication reconciliation and patient-safety practices. Prof Dinkar Kulshreshtha from neurology and Prof Piyush Upadhyay from paediatrics also shared inputs on medication and patient safety. The programme was chaired by Prof Smita Chauhan, faculty in-charge, Quality Cell. Dr Navneet Srivastava, Dr Pragya Shree, Dr Smith Yadav and Dr Sandhya were part of the organising team. Prof CM Singh, director of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, led the initiative.
