Lucknow, Aug. 18 -- Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) workers staged a protest at Hazratganj crossing and burnt an effigy of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday. They objected to his reported use of the term "chavanni" (four-anna coin) in reference to the party and its politics. The protest began around 1.35 pm and lasted nearly 20 minutes. RLD workers raised slogans against Yadav and accused him of repeatedly making "derogatory and unwarranted" remarks against the party over the past two years.
