Revenue Board launches 3 portals for fast disposal
LUCKNOW, Sept. 12 -- The Board of Revenue Uttar Pradesh on Friday launched three portals-Section 116, EWS and simplified Khatauni- to ensure timely disposal of land, name transfer, measurement, partition and other revenue matters.
The state government is expanding online services and arrangements are being made to track the process from application to disposal through a digital platform, said a state government spokesperson.
A new portal has been launched for land division matters under Section 116 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code. Co-sharers will now be able to apply for land division online. This will reduce the need for people to repeatedly visit offices to file partition suits, Revenue Board chairperson Archana Agarwal said.
A suit for division of holdings can be filed by a co-sharer under Section 116. In such cases, the Khatauni, related records and land maps play a crucial role. The new digital system will help simplify and streamline all these processes through technology. This is expected to expedite the resolution of land division cases, she added.
The online facility for EWS certificate process has also been simplified for citizens belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Through the new EWS portal, eligible citizens can now apply for an EWS certificate online. After submitting the application, the case will be sent online to lekhpal and tehsildar levels. htc...
