Bhopal, May 7 -- A 75-year-old retired advocate has been arrested for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl, who is a friend of his granddaughter and had come to play at their residence, in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal, police said on Wednesday. Habibganj police sub-inspector Mukta Sharma said: "On May 3, the friend's maternal grandfather allegedly took her to a room and assaulted her. Later, the girl complained of pain to her mother, who took her to a hospital. There, the child informed the doctor and her mother about the incident, and medical examination confirmed sexual assault." Subsequently, the accused was booked under Section 65 (2) (rape with minor) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha and sections 3 and 5 of the Protection of Children from sexual Offence Act. The girl's condition is stated to be stable....
