LUCKNOW, Aug. 8 -- The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Friday declared the final results for the departmental promotion examination for the post of Head Constable (Motor Transport), selecting 176 personnel against vacancies for the selection years 2020 to 2025. The recruitment drive covered 176 vacancies that arose between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2026, under the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Police Motor Transport Branch Subordinate Officers Service Rules, 2015. According to the board, 3,950 eligible police personnel, comprising constables and head constable drivers serving in the Uttar Pradesh Police Motor Transport branch, appeared for the first-stage written examination conducted on October 5, 2025. Of them, 2,781 candidates qualified for the second stage, the Practical Technical Proficiency Test, which was conducted between April 28 and May 11, 2026. A total of 2,541 candidates qualified in the practical examination.
