Remuneration hike foroutsourced staff ofinformation department
LUCKNOW, May 21 -- Director of information, Vishal Singh, has granted approval for the payment of revised remuneration to the outsourced workforce employed within the department. For approximately six years, there had been no increase in the remuneration of these employees; consequently, the staff had been raising demands regarding this matter from time to time, stated an official release by the department on Wednesday.
A committee constituted at the departmental level conducted a detailed examination and formulated recommendations in accordance with government orders. In alignment with the minimum remuneration rates prescribed by the government and the framework established by the Outsourced Services Corporation, the remuneration for various categories of personnel working within the department has been revised.
According to the approved proposal, employees holding various positions within the department- such as assistant media coordinator, assistant programmer, establishment-publicity assistant, TV technician, junior photographer/cameraman, computer operator, assistant Urdu editor, proof reader (Urdu), accounts assistant, LMV driver and multi-tasking staff - will receive the benefits of the prescribed minimum remuneration, categorised according to their respective roles....
