Ajmer, Oct. 4 -- The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will introduce a revised Class 10 examination pattern from 2027, shifting the focus from rote learning to conceptual understanding, reasoning and analytical skills. Under the new pattern, multiple-choice questions in Science and Mathematics will carry 20 marks, up from 18, while fill-in-the-blank questions will be removed. Very short-answer questions will carry two marks instead of one, and descriptive questions five marks instead of four. In Science, greater emphasis will be placed on conceptual clarity and written explanations. Mathematics will incorporate graphical methods to assess students' ability to interpret graphs and apply concepts. In English, grammar weightage will be reduced by 10%, with greater emphasis on contextual understanding and appropriate language use.
