LUCKNOW, Sept. 10 -- Samajwadi Party national general secretary and MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav on Wednesday hit out at Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, saying his intellect had been "corrupted" since he aligned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking to reporters after attending a ceremony marking the sixth-day celebrations of Lord Krishna's birth at Jageshwar temple in Etawah, Shivpal said Rajbhar used to hurl abuses at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath when he was associated with the Samajwadi Party. "Now that he is with the BJP, he has started targeting Samajwadi Party leaders. His intellect has been corrupted since joining the BJP. He needs treatment, and proper treatment will be administered in the coming elections," he said. Responding to questions about a post on X by Rajbhar referring to "Ahir and Zahir", Shivpal reiterated that the SBSP leader's change in stance was a result of his shift in political allegiance.
