Rain brings relef in Uttar Pradesh
LUCKNOW, June 13 -- Rainfall in western parts of the state has brought down the temperatures, providing much-needed respite from the scorching heat.
On Friday, barring three districts of UP, the maximum temperature in all meteorological stations in the state remained 40 degrees Celsius.
Orai was the hottest in UP with 40.8 degrees; Banda (40.2) and Basti (40 degrees) and these were the only three places that touched the 40 degrees Celsius mark. Aligarh recorded highest rainfall of 10.8 mm on Friday till 5.30pm, according to the IMD bulletin. The forecast for the state capital is a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery development on Saturday.
Rain/thundershowers are very likely at a few places over the West UP and at isolated places over the East UP. Isolated to scattered rainfall is likely on June 13 and 18. htc...
