Purvanchal gets Rs 400 cr, Bundelkhand Rs 150 cr
Lucknow, Feb. 12 -- Despite overall development across the state, regional disparities still exist. The state government has tried to address this issue by allocating special funds for backward regions of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand in the Finance Bill 26-27.
In order to reduce inter-regional disparities and backwardness in the districts located in Purvanchal, a provision of Rs 400 crore has been made in the budget. Similarly, an allocation of Rs 150 crore has been made in this year's budget for developing backwards regions of Bundelkhand.
According to the state government, this fund will be used for backward districts in the two regions.
It also has provision for special component plan for scheduled castes, special schemes and major construction works in the two regions.htc...
