LUCKNOW, May 7 -- A two-day printmaking exhibition 'Chhapa: The Imprint of Life,' began at Kokoro Art Gallery on Wednesday, showcasing the lifetime works of renowned artist Manohar Lal Bhungra. It was inaugurated by former principal, College of Arts and Crafts, Jai Krishna Agrawal. A total of 51 artworks are on display, created using various techniques such as woodcut printing, lithography (stone printing), and etching (metal plate work). These artworks beautifully portray human emotions, social realities, and scenic views of nature in a simple yet deeply touching manner. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the modern presentation of traditional motifs like fish, birds, and feminine forms.
