Preparations in full swing for Braj Utsav in Mathura from Oct 26
Agra, Oct. 23 -- Preparations are in full swing for 'Braj Raj Utsav' to be organised by Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP) in Mathura from October 26 onwards. The venue will be Railway ground near Dhauli Pyayu in Mathura where proceedings will culminate on November 5.
District magistrate Mathura, Chandra Prakash Singh had been holding series of meetings for the festival. The stress will be on 'swadeshi' products and an exhibition on theme 'Viksit Bharat - Viksit Uttar Pradesh' will be part of Braj Raj Utsav, said officials of UPBTVP.
District magistrate had recently held a meeting and highlighted the 'Cow Show' where those raising cows with care should be rewarded and honoured. DM ordered all concerned departments to ensure cleanliness during the event. Proper barricading is to be laid to streamline traffic.
Chief executive officer (CEO) of UPBTVP, Shyam Bahadur Singh said that artistes of national and international fame will present their performances. Competitions for students from schools and colleges, craft fair, food court, joy rides, presentation of folk music will be the main attraction.
The fair will begin at 11am and end at 10pm and will include presentations by departments and schools from 12 noon to 2 pm at the venue, railway ground in Mathura from October 26 onwards. The local artistes will perform from 3pm to 7pm while major artistes and star performers will perform from 7 to 10 pm in the evening daily....
