PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 10 -- The Prayagraj Commissionerate police have been placed on high alert ahead of the protest scheduled for October 10. Additional police personnel are being deployed at the designated demonstration site near All Saints Cathedral in Civil Lines and surrounding areas. Security has also been intensified at key locations, including railway stations and the roadways bus stand. Authorities are taking extra precautions in light of the violence and vandalism witnessed during a previous protest held in July following a call by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). During that agitation, protesters allegedly turned violent between the Cathedral protest site and Subhash Crossing, damaging several vehicles.
