Lucknow, Aug. 13 -- The Uttar Pradesh Vidyut Karmchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti, has opposed the proposed grant of a parallel electricity distribution licence to Adani Energy Solutions Step-Eleven Ltd and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd for supplying power to a data centre park in Noida, calling it a "backdoor attempt" to privatise power distribution in the state. The employees' body leader Shailendra Dubey in a written statement said that shifting high-revenue consumers such as data centres from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) to a private distributor could weaken the public discom's financial position while allowing private companies to selectively acquire profitable consumers.htc...
