Power outages hit several Lucknow areas amid faults, storm damage
Lucknow, May 27 -- Residents across several parts of Lucknow and nearby areas faced power disruptions on Tuesday due to technical faults, storm damage, maintenance work and overloaded infrastructure, exposing continued strain on the electricity distribution network.
Frequent outages were reported from Bijnore Road, Sarvan Nagar, Ashiyana Sector J and Ambika Vihar, where residents complained of unstable supply and delayed response from electricity authorities during peak summer heat.
In Gahilhar village of Natkur under the Chandrawal feeder of Jaitikhera substation, an ABC line snapped during a storm late Monday night, disrupting supply for nearly 19 hours. Residents expressed anger over the delay in restoration.
Power supply also remained affected in Khargapur feeder under Sector-14 Old substation and Panna Lal feeder under Ikka Stand substation in Jankipuram due to maintenance and expansion work.
Additional outages were reported from Talkatora, Rajajipuram, Indira Nagar, Chinhat, Dewa Road, Aliganj and Kapoorthala. Meanwhile, a contractual worker was injured during LT fuse repair work in Mohanlalganj and admitted to hospital for treatment. htc...
