Poor weather forces Nepal-bound flight to make emergency landing in Lko
LUCKNOW, April 1 -- A Nepal-bound Flydubai flight (FZ 1595) carrying 157 passengers made an emergency landing at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow around 7 pm on Tuesday after adverse weather in Kathmandu prevented a safe landing there.
According to a CCSIA spokesperson, the flight could not land in Kathmandu, Nepal, due to low visibility caused by fog and poor weather, prompting the pilot to divert to Lucknow.
All 157 passengers on board are reported to be safe.
"Safety of passengers is always our top priority. The airline crew made a safe diversion to Lucknow after assessing weather conditions in Kathmandu," the airport spokesperson said.
The flight later departed for Kathmandu, Nepal, at 8:38 pm after weather conditions and visibility improved, Lucknow airport officials confirmed....
