Joint commissioner of police (law and order) Babloo Kumar said police personnel had been deployed across the district, with staff from police stations and teams led by assistant commissioners of police (ACPs) and deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) present on the ground. "Police have been deployed across Lucknow to ensure that no person or group creates a law-and-order situation or indulges in violence. Checking is also being carried out at important locations, including bus stands and railway stations," Kumar said. He added that personnel had been deployed at strategic and vital installations as a precautionary measure.
