Lucknow, May 27 -- One person was killed and seven others injured after a car collided with a brick-laden tractor-trolley on the Kisan Path near the Dalauna railway bridge in Lucknow early Tuesday morning, police said. The accident occurred around 4.15 am when the car was travelling from Mathura to Ayodhya with eight occupants. Driver Sandeep was rushed to the SGPGI, where doctors declared him dead. Those injured were identified as Shubhashish Mohanty (16), Smitanjali Sahu (35), Tilavera, Tida Subodha, Basant Das, Jayantiratha, wife of Gagan Bihari Mohapatra, and Sai Ramrath.
