LUCKNOW, July 13 -- Lucknow University has received an overwhelming response for admissions to its postgraduate programmes for the 2026-27 academic session, with record applications for several courses. According to the university, the three-year LLB (NEP) programme topped the list with 6,073 applications, while the LLM course attracted 2,941, taking total applications to the faculty of law beyond 9,000. The M.Com programme received a record 985 applications. The faculty of management received 2,905 applications for MBA programmes, while in the faculty of arts, MA political science emerged as the most sought-after course with 969 applications, followed by MA English (529) and MA psychology (507). In the faculty of science, MSc zoology led with 978 applications, followed by biotechnology (500) and chemistry (419). Lucknow University vice-chancellor Prof Jai Prakash Saini attributed the strong response to the university's growing academic reputation and assured candidates that the admission process would be conducted in a transparent, merit-based and time-bound manner. htc...
