Palok Basu Foundation launched
PRAYAGRAJ, May 20 -- The Palok Basu Foundation was formally inaugurated on Tuesday at 10, Kutchery Road in Prayagraj on Monday in the presence of eminent personalities from the legal, administrative, academic and social spheres. The Foundation has been established by the daughters of late Justice Palok Basu-Rimi Basu Sinha, Jhumi Basu Nag, and Rashmi Basu Mahajan-to honour the life, values and enduring legacy of their father, a jurist widely respected for his integrity, intellectual depth, and commitment to public service.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by justice Siddharth Nandan and justice Sudhir Narain of the Allahabad high court, Swami Akshayananda, secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Prayagraj, former Prayagraj commissioner Badal Chatterjee, senior advocate Gopal Swarup Chaturvedi, and Anglo Bengali College head Asim Mukherjee, along with several distinguished members of the legal fraternity, academia and civil society.
The foundation aims to serve as a platform for social empowerment through legal, educational and cultural initiatives. Its activities will focus on three key areas including legal empowerment, social outreach and capacity building and preservation of cultural heritage.
