Over 3 lakh to appear for B.Ed JEE today
Lucknow, June 1 -- A total of 3,44,546 candidates who had registered for the Uttar Pradesh BEd Joint Entrance Examination 2024, will appear for the exam being conducted by Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, in 69 districts across UP on Sunday, said Vinay Singh, registrar of the university. This year 1,21,162 more candidates have applied for the entrance test compared to the previous year. Last year 2,23,384 candidates had registered and the exam was held in 51 districts of the state.
The examination will be held in two shifts of three hours each at 751 examination centres. The first shift will begin from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift exam from 2 pm to 5 pm.
In Lucknow, 10,690 candidates will write the exam in 22 centres. A total of 1,914 candidates to appear in the said exam at 4 exam centres in Hardoi, 3,235 students to write the exam at 7 centres of Lakhimpur Kheri, 1,600 students in 4 centres of Rae Bareli, 1,527 candidates will take the exam in 4 centres of Sitapur, said Professor RB Singh, district coordinator for the exam in Lucknow.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) based technology will be used for biometric attendance of candidates and classroom supervision to maintain the sanctity of the exam. Ahead of the examination, Vinay Singh, registrar of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi held a meeting with all the district coordinators.
