Dehradun, July 4 -- Chief secretary Anand Bardhan on Friday directed the urban development department to ensure that all 13,576 housing units constructed under the Affordable Housing Project (AHP) are allotted and made operational by August 15, 2026, while ordering weekly reviews to fast-track the completion of pending projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The directions were issued during a meeting of the state-level sanctioning and monitoring committee for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) held at the Secretariat. Bardhan instructed officials to complete all projects under PMAY-Urban 1.0 within the stipulated timeline and emphasised the need for continuous monitoring through weekly review meetings.
