PRAYAGRAJ, May 28 -- The online mode for the entrance examination has gained popularity among candidates for the Postgraduate Admission Test (PGAT) for the 2026-27 academic session at Allahabad University (AU). Officials confirmed that the entrance examinations will be conducted on June 15, 16, 17, and 18. Data released by AU PRO Prof Jaya Kapoor showed that a total of 44,701 candidates had registered for admission to 58 postgraduate, professional and specialised courses as of Wednesday. Of the total registered candidates, 26,700 completed the application process by submitting the examination fee and finalising their forms. The last date for registration and fee submission has been fixed as May 28. The figures also reflected an increasing inclination toward the online examination system. As many as 14,300 candidates opted for the online mode, while 12,399 candidates chose the offline mode. University officials said the admission process this year is being conducted for 58 courses under the PGAT framework....
