Lucknow, Oct. 11 -- Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday attacked the state government over heavy barricading at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) and massive police force around the premises on the eve of JP's birth anniversary. Yadav was expected to reach JPNIC at 11am on Sunday on the socialist icon's birth anniversary. The police have barricaded the area. "Nowadays the very same are the 'protectors' whose thinking is locked. Jayaprakash Narayan ji who fought the freedom movement, today under BJP rule, he himself has been imprisoned...Perhaps even the most brutal dictator in the world would not have imposed such a restriction on paying tribute to a great man on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The BJP people are even worse than the British," Akhilesh wrote on his X account. The JPNIC was built under the previous Akhilesh Yadav government in the state but the project was incomplete....
