Om Birla, Fadnavis to attend Ahilyabai Holkar statue unveiling ceremony
AGRA, June 28 -- Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis are scheduled to attend a ceremony in the Etmadpur area of Agra on June 30 for the unveiling of a statue of Ahilyabai Holkar, often referred to as 'Lokmata.'
Announcing the event at a press briefing on Saturday, Union minister of state and Agra MP SP Singh Baghel stated that the ceremony will be held at the Model School in Etmadpur.
"The chief guest will be Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will unveil the statue of Ahilyabai Holkar," Baghel stated. "The special guest will be Maharashtra Legislative Council chairman Ram Shinde. The event will mark the 301st birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, popularly known as 'Lokmata.'" Baghel added, "The event will be attended by MPs, MLAs and prominent figures from the Pal, Baghel, and Dhangar communities from across the nation. Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar's contributions extended far beyond the Holkar state; she renovated Shiva temples throughout the country, including the Vishwanath temple."...
