Dehradun, Sept. 5 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday announced that old-age homes will be established in all districts of Uttarakhand to provide better care and support to senior citizens. The announcement was made while the CM interacted with senior citizens and differently-abled people under his Mukhya Sevak Samvad (CM's Dialogue initiative). On the occasion, Dhami also launched software related to the Divyang Marriage Grant and National Family Benefit Scheme, besides releasing the fifth instalment of pensions under various welfare schemes through online transfer. Dhami also announced that the incentive amount for marriage involving differently-abled people will be doubled from Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000. Under the Divyang Scholarship Scheme, the income limit for scholarships for differently-abled students from classes 1 to 8 will be abolished. Welcoming senior citizens and differently-abled participants, Dhami said, "It is with your blessings that I get the energy to serve the state.
