NR to run special trains for Kanwar mela
LUCKNOW, July 11 -- In view of the upcoming Shravan Kanwar Mela 2025 scheduled from July 11 to July 23 in Haridwar, Northern Railway (NR) has announced plans to run special unreserved trains to manage the expected surge of train passengers.
"Two trains 04318, 04317 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Alamnagar-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Mela Specials will run daily for one month," said Kuldeep Tiwari, senior divisional commercial manager, NR, Lucknow.
"Train 04318 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Alamnagar Mela Special will operate from July 11 to August 9, departing Yog Nagari Rishikesh daily at 7:00 PM and reaching Alamnagar at 10:45 AM the following day. Train 04317 Alamnagar-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Mela Special will run from July 12 to August 10, departing Alamnagar at 12:05 PM and arriving in Rishikesh by 11:00 PM," he added.
These special trains will halt at several important stations en route, including Raiwala, Motichur, Haridwar, Jwalapur, Laksar, Balawali, Muazzampur Narayan, Najibabad, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, and Shahjahanpur.
To ensure smooth arrangements for devotees during the Hindu holy Shravan month starting Friday, Lucknow DM Vishak G and joint police commissioner Bablu Kumar on Thursday inspected the Mankameshwar temple in Daliganj and the Buddheshwar temple in Para area.
The officials directed departments concerned to strengthen cleanliness, security, medical, and crowd management measures at both the temples....
