LUCKNOW, Oct. 31 -- The Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL) on Thursday announced a partial revision in the implementation date of its proposed vertical arrangement system for operations under Lucknow sector due to technical reasons. The new system, earlier scheduled to come into effect from November 1, will now be implemented from November 15. In an official statement, the corporation stated that the decision was taken after due consideration and that formal orders regarding the revised date had already been issued. The change, however, applies only to the implementation date, while all other previously issued guidelines and directions will remain unchanged. MVVNL managing director Riya Kejriwal said the revised schedule would provide additional time for internal preparations before the new structure came into force. The power distribution company assured that the postponement would not affect day-to-day services and that all existing arrangements would continue as usual during the transition period.
