LUCKNOW, July 31 -- Hundreds of applicants seeking permanent driving licences faced long delays at the Transport Nagar Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Thursday after a snag in the National Informatics Centre (NIC) server brought the verification process to a standstill for nearly five hours. The disruption affected services at the Sarathi Bhawan, where document verification, biometric authentication and facial recognition are carried out.
