GORAKHPUR, July 30 -- A newly married couple was found hanging from a mango tree in Zinda Chapra village under the Hanumanganj police station limits in Kushinagar district on Wednesday, in a suspected case of suicide. Police identified the deceased as Ritesh Bharti and his wife, Puja Vishwakarma. They said the incident appears to be linked to family opposition over their inter-caste marriage, though the exact cause of death is yet to be established. According to preliminary information, the couple had married against the wishes of their families around six months ago. Police suspect that the woman's family, particularly her mother, had opposed the inter-caste marriage, which may have led to tensions between the couple. Station house officer (SHO) of Hanumanganj police station, Digvijay Narayan Rai, said police rushed to the spot and the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination, while a forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence. "The bodies of the couple were found hanging from the same rope. We are investigating the case from all angles, including possible family disputes and other reasons that may have led to the incident," Rai said.htc...
