New UPSIDA CEO stresses investor-friendly governance
Lucknow/Kanpur, Aug. 7 -- Newly appointed Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) CEO Balkar Singh assumed charge on Thursday and held his first review meeting with senior officials at the authority's Kanpur headquarters. He said providing prompt and transparent services to investors, strengthening industrial infrastructure and accelerating industrial development would be UPSIDA's top priorities.
Singh said Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a preferred investment destination under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership and that UPSIDA would play a key role in achieving the state's $1 trillion economy target.
He directed officials to ensure quality development and proper maintenance of industrial areas, including roads, power supply, water, drainage, street lighting, sanitation, security and green spaces. The CEO also asked officials to simplify and make processes related to land allotment, building plan approvals, lease execution and NOCs more transparent.
