Jhansi, June 14 -- State tourism and culture minister and Jhansi district in-charge Jaiveer Singh launched a new official logo for the district, featuring taglines "Glorious History, Bright Future" and "Jhansi: Towards Development with Valor", on Saturday. The unveiling took place during a comprehensive review meeting of development projects and government welfare initiatives in the district. During the meeting, Singh reviewed the status of various flagship schemes and instructed officials to ensure that government benefits reach all eligible beneficiaries effectively. He emphasised greater coordination between departments and elected representatives, directing officials to involve public representatives in inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies of development works. Power supply and drinking water emerged as the key issues during the review. Taking note of complaints regarding the functioning of the electricity department, the minister directed senior power officials to improve public grievance redressal and strengthen infrastructure. He called for timely maintenance of transformers, feeders and transmission lines, along with the installation of additional poles and capacity enhancement wherever required. Concerns over Jhansi's water supply system were also raised by public representatives.
