LUCKNOW, June 12 -- Cadets attending the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp being organised by the 19 Uttar Pradesh Girls Battalion NCC participated in a series of activities on the eighth day of the camp at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, Tiwari Ganj, on Thursday. The camp is being conducted from June 4 to 13 under the leadership of Commanding Officer Colonel (Dr) Dinesh Kumar Pathak. The day began with a yoga session led by Camp Training Officer Major (Dr) Manmeet Kaur Sodhi, who conducted exercises as per the protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush. Cadets practised various stretching and posture-based exercises and were also introduced to the principles of Ashtanga Yoga, including Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. A self-defence workshop conducted by social organisation Red Brigade concluded during the day. Founder Usha Vishwakarma and her team oversaw demonstrations by trained cadets, following which certificates were distributed. Renuka Tandon of Amaren Foundation was also present. A debate competition on the topic "Is Artificial Intelligence important in the present era?" was also organised, with cadets presenting arguments both in favour of and against the motion.
