Haldwani, Sept. 7 -- BJP national president Nitin Nabin will undertake a two-day visit to Haldwani on September 9 and 10, during which he will attend the party's state executive committee meeting and hold a series of organisational meetings focused on preparations for the 2027 Uttarakhand assembly elections, party leaders said. The visit assumes significance as the BJP works on its electoral strategy for the 2027 assembly polls. State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said Nabin's guidance would be important in finalising the party's strategy as it seeks a hat-trick of victories in the state. According to BJP state spokesperson Suresh Tiwari, the state executive committee meeting will be held from 11am to 5 pm on September 9 at Vintage Green Banquet Hall on Rampur Road, with around 597 party functionaries expected to attend. It will be the first state executive committee meeting in Uttarakhand that Nabin will personally attend since taking charge as the party's national president, Tiwari said. Following the executive committee meeting, Nabin will hold a meeting with state office-bearers and later attend a meeting of state BJP core committee. Party leaders are expected to discuss organisational programmes and the strategy for the assembly elections during the meetings. On September 10, Nabin will hold a meeting on the proposed 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', which the party plans to organise to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. He will subsequently participate in core committee meeting before addressing an ex-servicemen's conference and attending the 'Sikh Gaurav Sammelan' in Rudrapur. BJP state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan said his visit is aimed at providing guidance to the state leadership and party organisation ahead of polls.
