MEERUT, Sept. 3 -- More than 35 Nepali pilgrims were injured, 10 of them critically, after a private tourist bus carrying them rammed into a moving Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus in Moradabad district late on Tuesday night. The accident took place near the Garhi Adda area under the Kanth police station on the Moradabad-Haridwar State Highway. The victims were part of a group of 53 devotees returning to Nepal after visiting the holy city of Haridwar. According to deputy superintendent of police Sunita Dahia, the private tourist bus rammed into the rear of the moving UPSRTC roadways bus. The impact caused the private bus to go out of control and crash into a small roadside building. Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision. As the accident took place late at night, most passengers were asleep. After receiving information about the accident, teams from the Kanth police station and the local civil administration reached the spot. Rescue workers, with the help of local residents, pulled the trapped passengers out of the wreckage. All the injured were initially taken to a nearby primary health centre. However, 10 passengers with serious injuries, including complex bone fractures, were later referred to Moradabad District Hospital for advanced medical treatment....
