Pune, June 7 -- The Southwest Monsoon arrived over Maharashtra on Saturday, remaining on schedule for the state despite its delayed arrival in Kerala earlier this week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The monsoon arrived over Kerala on June 4, three days after its normal onset date and five days after IMD's forecast date. Since then, it has advanced into parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Mizoram, Manipur and the entire Goa region.
