minister pulls up officials over poor redressal of complaints
Lucknow, Dec. 16 -- Minister A K Sharma pulled up officials of the urban development department and UPPCL at a Jan Sunwai (public grievance hearing) event held at his residence on Monday. The minister was upset over several complaints not being solved at the ground level.
Residents from several districts submitted their grievances before the minister.
Emphasising accountability, Sharma directed officers to ensure time-bound, transparent and quality resolution of all complaints, reiterating that swift redressal of public issues remains a key priority of the state government.
Over the issue of poor construction of roads in Lucknow, Sharma, who holds both urban development and energy portfolios, directed the officials to ensure quality in the construction of roads and streets.
During the hearing, Sharma took immediate action on a complaint from Auraiya district, and asked additional chief secretary (Energy) Narendra Bhushan to resolve the matter on a priority basis in public interest....
