LUCKNOW, April 7 -- The run of unseasonal rains in the state - though welcome for pulling down daytime temperatures - continues, with another spell forecast from Tuesday to Thursday (April 7 to 9). The Meteorological Centre Lucknow issued an orange alert for few divisions in West UP which are likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds (speed of 40-50 km/h, increasing to 60 km/h), and isolated hailstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday, in a few districts of East UP on Wednesday. The Met department issued a warning that a thunderstorm accompanied with lightning/gusty winds (speed 40-50 Kmph) very likely at a few places with hailstorm at isolated places over West UP. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/gusty winds (30-40 Kmph) are also likely at isolated places over East UP.
