Lucknow, May 14 -- Heat is set to make a comeback in the state from the coming week with temperatures rising and dry weather, the Weatherman said on Wednesday. The maximum temperature in Banda crossed 45deg C (45.4 degrees to be precise). This rise is due to the interaction between Easterly Winds-originating from a cyclonic circulation situated over the northwestern part of the state - and the Westerly Winds. As a result, temperatures in the Bundelkhand region crossed the 45degC mark on Wednesday and dry weather is expected to persist in the coming days. "There is a renewed possibility of heatwave conditions returning to the southern parts of the state," said Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at Lucknow Met office. On Wednesday, skies in Lucknow turned heavily overcast. Some parts of the state capital received a little drizzle. The forecast for Lucknow is mainly clear sky.
