Manipur police suspends cop over abduction of six nagas
New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- The Manipur police have ordered a departmental enquiry (DE) and suspended a serving Kuki police constable for his alleged role in the abduction of the six Naga men who were later murdered, people aware of the matter said.
HT has reviewed a copy of the constable's suspension order dated September 8 issued by the SP of the Bishnupur district police.
"He was with Bishnupur police in the valley but was attached(transferred) to Kangpokpi hill district in the hills due to the conflict. He has been suspended and a DE has been ordered,"a police officer who asked not to be named confirmed.
