Agra, Nov. 2 -- A man shot his father dead and then killed himself after a dispute over business issues in Mathura on Friday. The incident took place at their home in Gaura Nagar Colony, Vrindavan.Police identified the deceased as Suresh Chand Agarwal ,68, and his son Naresh Kumar Agarwal. The Agarwal family is well known in Vrindavan for their beedi manufacturing business, mainly managed by the eldest son, Dinesh Agarwal, from Kolkata. The younger sons, Naresh and Mahesh, lived with their father in Mathura.According to police, Naresh returned home on Friday night when an argument broke out between him and his father. In a fit of anger, Naresh allegedly shot his father in the shoulder. Moments later, panicked by what he had done, he turned the gun on himself and fired, dying on the spot. Both father Suresh Chand Agarwal and son Naresh Kumar Agarwal were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead. "Business disputes are seen as a possible cause. No family member has filed a complaint, and the bodies were handed over after post-mortem examination," said circle officer Sandeep Kumar Singh. He added that the investigation is ongoing. The Agarwal family, known in Vrindavan, runs a beedi manufacturing business near their home, mostly employing workers from Kolkata.
