LUCKNOW, Aug. 28 -- A man was killed after being hit by a Jammu and Kashmir-registered car while crossing the Kisan Path service road near Indora Bagh Mor in BKT on Thursday, police said. "The deceased, identified as Anil, a resident of Sherpura village in Sitapur's Mahmoodabad, was returning home after work in the Madiyaon area," said police. Police said Anil had spoken to his nephew, Ankit, over the phone and agreed to meet him at Indora Bagh Mor before heading home together. However, while crossing the road after reaching the spot, he was hit by a Jammu and Kashmir-registered car (JK22C5907) travelling towards Kolkata. Anil sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the 100-bed Ram Sagar Mishra Hospital in BKT with the help of locals. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. htc...
