PRAYAGRAJ, May 24 -- A young mason was killed on the spot, while his teenage daughter sustained critical injuries after a dumper truck collided head-on with their motorcycle in the trans-Yamuna region of Prayagraj district late on Friday night, police said. The accident occurred near a petrol pump at Shivrajpur under the Shankargarh police station limits. The deceased was identified as Nandan, over 30, son of Sundarlal and a native of Koraon, who had been living in rented accommodation at Chikan Tola in Shankargarh for the past several years. He worked as a mason to support his family. Police sent the body for post-mortem examination and initiated further legal proceedings.
