AGRA, May 21 -- A man was arrested in Aligarh for allegedly strangling his 19-year-old daughter to death and burying her body in a field after objecting to her friendship with a youth from the same village. According to police, the incident took place in Jarara village under Khair police station limits. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Manish Kumar Mishra said a Police Response Vehicle received information on Tuesday that a man had killed his daughter and buried the body to conceal the crime. During questioning, the accused, identified as Pooran Singh, confessed to the murder. Police said he was upset over his daughter talking to a youth of the same caste living nearby. Police recovered the body from a field on the outskirts of the village and sent it for post-mortem examination. A case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder and destruction of evidence has been registered against the accused following a complaint by the victim's mother....
