Man from nepal arrested with 175gm of bear bile, 2.3kg drugs
Rudrapur, Aug. 29 -- The Pithoragarh police have arrested a Nepalese national after recovering 175 grams of bear bile and 2.3 kg of cannabis (Charas) from his possession in Dharchula. Police said the accused was en route to Pithoragarh to sell the contraband.
Rekha Yadav, superintendent of police (SP) Pithoragarh, said, "During a routine check near Galati bridge in Dharchula on Wednesday evening, police intercepted a man who seemed suspicious.
When he attempted to flee, he was caught and frisked. The team recovered 175 grams of bear bile and 2.3 kg of cannabis from him."
She said the accused has been identified as Surya Bahadur Budathoki (30), a resident of Dolpa district in Nepal. He has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Wildlife Protection Act. Police produced him before a court on Thursday, which sent him to judicial custody.
