PRAYAGRAJ:, Aug. 25 -- The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly pelting stones at the Vande Bharat Express (22549) after mistakenly believing that one of his goats had been run over by the train. He was later released on bail. According to the RPF, the accused, identified as Vishal, a resident of Malakraj, had taken his goats out for grazing on the afternoon of August 18. As the animals wandered close to the railway tracks, the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat Express was passing through the area. Noticing the goats near the tracks, the loco pilot repeatedly sounded the train's horn as a safety measure. Vishal allegedly became enraged, assuming that one of his goats had been struck by the train. In a fit of anger, he began throwing stones at the moving train. The incident occurred near the Rambagh railway overbridge. The stones damaged the glass panels of the train's doors and six windows. The loco pilot noticed the attack and brought the train to a halt, but the accused fled before railway personnel could apprehend him. Using eyewitness accounts and available footage, railway authorities identified the suspect and later arrested him during a raid. During questioning, investigators also found that Vishal was allegedly addicted to intoxicants. A case was registered against the accused, who was subsequently granted bail....
