LUCKNOW, Sept. 11 -- Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Satish Mahana participated in a special meeting with the High Commissioner of India to Seychelles Rohit Rathish, where they discussed strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. According to a press statement issued by the Speaker's office, the meeting also covered the role of the Indian community in Seychelles and the scope for mutual cooperation in the legislative sphere. The statement added that both sides discussed the social, economic and cultural contributions of the Indian community in Seychelles and agreed on the need to further strengthen people-to-people ties and engagement between the two countries. The discussions also covered the scope for exchanging legislative experiences, parliamentary procedures and best practices between the Parliament of Seychelles and the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
