New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- Communist Party of India [CPI(M)] general secretary MA Baby has written to all Opposition parties including Tamil Nadu's ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Thursday to discuss a joint strategy against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in the wake of the Indian Express' report that two Election Commissioners had raised 14 formal objections to decisions and orders of the poll body. "The entire opposition and civil society and all those who want to uphold transparency of our electoral process, must come together for a joint strategy. For us this is a very important matter. This is a vital issue for the entire Opposition, which must stage a joint fight. It is in this context, I have urged all Opposition parties to meet and discuss the matter," Baby told HT. The letter, according to functionaries, have been sent to two Leaders of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee, DMK's MK Stalin and CM C Joseph Vijay. The letter comes amid hectic parley in the Opposition camp over the latest revelation on Kumar. TMC's Derek O'Brien and others are also busy strategising on the issue and plans are afoot for a meeting. "We have to move fast on this issue," he said....
