AGRA, Oct. 26 -- A teenager has been taken into custody by Aligarh police for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl in a village under the jurisdiction of the Gangiri police station. Deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Chharra circle, Garvit Singh, confirmed on Sunday that police received information regarding the incident. According to officials, the accused and the victim were neighbors, and their families were known to each other. The teenager allegedly lured the 5-year-old girl away under the pretext of giving her toffee before committing the crime. "The accused has been taken into custody, and the victim has been hospitalized," DSP Singh stated, adding that a case has been registered at the Gangiri police station under the relevant sections of the law and further investigation is underway....
